Who is responsible?
Jacek Sałacki, based in Poland, is responsible for this site and its data processing. You can contact me through the Contact page.
Data collected
This site has no accounts or comments. The Contact page form collects your name, email address, and message only so I can reply. The optional consent checkbox records whether you consent to this use. Submissions are delivered to my email mailbox only and are not stored in the site database. No marketing messages are sent using the form. Separately, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is used for aggregated measurement of page views, traffic sources, outbound LinkedIn clicks, and Contact page visits. GA4 sets cookies and processes identifiers and approximate location.
Legal basis and choices
For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, analytics is based on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default; you can opt out through that link. This notice does not claim legitimate interest as a basis for analytics.
Google and transfers
Google processes the data and may transfer it outside the EEA under its own safeguards. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Matomo analytics
This site also uses Matomo, a self-hosted analytics tool run on the site owner’s own server at stats.jaceksalacki.pl. Matomo runs in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and does not store an identifier on your device. It records page views and a few interactions (clicks on outbound links, homepage sections, and article navigation, plus Contact page views) to measure site use. IP addresses are anonymised by removing the last 2 bytes before storage. Because no cookies are used, Matomo runs regardless of your cookie choice in the banner.
Retention
GA4 retention setting: 12 months. Raw Matomo data is kept for 12 months.
